■ The following information can be automatically generated and collected during the service use process: Connection IP information, cookies, service usage records, connection logs, etc.

2. Purpose of Collecting Personal Information Maeil Business Newspaper collects personal information for the following reasons.

■ Registration notice for participation in events hosted by Maeil Business Newspaper and World Knowledge Forum
■ Identification of frequency of access and statistics of service use

[Personal Information Retention & Utilization Period]
The collected personal information shall be kept and used only for the period of service provision from the date of registration. It is retained and used only when WKF Secretariat provides any services to the event. If personal information shall be immediately deleted the member

1) requests withdrawal from the membership,
2) withdraws consent of the collection and use of personal information,
3) once the purpose of collection and use of the personal information is achieved, and ends the period of retention and use. However, the following information is retained for the specified period for the following reasons

■ Personal information(log-in records) retained for using services

Ground for retention: to comply with the Protection of Communications Secrets Act Duration of retention: 3 months

Personal information retained for cancellation of membership

Ground for retention: to comply with the Consumer Protection Act in e-commerce and etc.Duration of retention: 5 years

■ Personal information retained concerning provisions of goods and payment Ground for retention: to comply with the Consumer Protection Act in e-commerce and etc.

Duration of retention: 5 years

■ Personal information retained for arbitrating disputes or processing customers' claims and complaints

Ground for retention: to comply with the Consumer Protection Act in e-commerce and etc.
Duration of retention: 3 years

■ Personal information retained related to the record of personal information

Ground for retention: to comply with the act on the protection and use of location information and etc.
Duration of retention: 1 year

■ Personal information retained for electronic financial transaction

Ground for retention: to comply with the Consumer Protection Act in e-commerce, etc.
Duration of retention: 5 years Other cases of obtaining consent from customers: retained until the agreed period

[Supplementary Provisions]

These terms and conditions shall apply from July 14, 2025. However, if you agree to these terms after their announcement but before the effective date, these terms will apply from the time of your agreement.
