Personal Information Collection and Usage Agreement

Consent to Collection and Use of Personal Information (Required)
MAEIL BUSINESS collects and uses your personal information for the World Knowledge Forum. You have the right to refuse consent to this collection and use. However, if you do not agree to the collection and use of the required items, your registration for the World Knowledge Forum, ticket purchase, payment processing, and issuance of the participation code may be restricted.

1. Items of Personal Information Collected
  • Required Items: Name (Given Name, Family Name), Nationality, Organization/Institution, Department, Job Title, Mobile Phone (or Tel), E-mail
  • Payment and Refund Processing Items (Only applicable when using the respective payment method):
      ◦ Bank Transfer: Bank name, account number, account holder's name, etc.

2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information
  • Receipt of registration applications for the World Knowledge Forum (Individual & Corporate), identity verification of the person in charge (applicant), and registration management.
  • Payment/refund processing for ticket purchases, issuance of receipts/invoices, and sending registration guidelines.

3. Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information
  • Personal information will be retained for 3 years after the end of the event and then destroyed without delay.
  • However, if it is necessary to preserve the information pursuant to the provisions of relevant laws and regulations (such as the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.), it will be stored for the period specified below:
      ◦ Records on contracts or withdrawal of subscription, etc.: 5 years (Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce)
      ◦ Records on payment and supply of goods, etc.: 5 years (Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce)
      ◦ Records on customer disputes or complaints processing: 3 years (Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce)

[Supplementary Provisions]
This Personal Information Collection and Use Agreement shall take effect on July 13, 2026.
